About Slump

A gentler way to climb out of a slump. No streaks, no guilt - just small things you can actually do today.

What Slump is

Slump is a quiet habit tracker for the days you're not at your best. You answer a short questionnaire, get matched to an archetype, and land on a tiny daily routine you can actually finish. Log what you did, write a line in your journal, and watch progress add up without anyone shaming you for missing a day.

Built for people who've tried the loud apps and bounced off them.

When I was 14 or 15, I knew something was off. The anxiety, the depression, the OCD - I could feel it all building up, but I could not bring myself to do anything about it. Not because I did not care. It just felt like too big of a step. Telling my parents, talking to someone, sitting in a therapist's office - none of that felt like something I was ready for. So I stayed stuck. Aware that I was struggling, but not ready to say it out loud.

That feeling stayed with me. And at some point I started wondering how many other people were sitting in that same space, carrying something heavy but not quite ready to reach for help. SLUMP came from that question. Not an app that tries to diagnose you or push you toward therapy before you are ready, but something that just meets you where you are. A place to start, even when starting small is all you can do.

I met Jack in college, and pretty quickly I could tell he was at one of the lowest points of his life. He was carrying a lot, more than most people around him realized, and I tried to be there in whatever way I could. I did not have a script for it. I just showed up, listened, and stuck around through a dark patch that did not have a clean ending.

Somewhere in that stretch we became best friends. Mental health was not a side topic for us, it was the centerpiece of how we actually talked. The honest conversations, the bad days, the small wins, all of it.

One day we sat down and started talking about strategies. What actually helped, what felt impossible, what we wished existed back when things were at their worst. SLUMP came out of that conversation. Something simple, honest, and built for the version of us that was not ready to ask for help yet.
